Letters, typed on your Typewriter
Confessions of a Typewriter now takes letters. Write to anyone who owns one, and your words are typed onto the sheet in their room, key by key, when they next tap its chip.
Confessions of a Typewriter has a new free Smart AR story, MINIESE Messages. It ends on a blank sheet in the typewriter — and then it waits.
A letter, typed as you watch. Tap your Typewriter’s chip and hold your phone up to the print. When the story reaches the sheet, the letters written to you are typed onto it, key by key, and signed. You hear it too: the thud of each key, the ratchet of the carriage at every line, the bell at the end.
Write one yourself. Tap the TYPEWRITER button, sign with a nickname, and write up to 300 characters to anyone’s email address. Send it now, or choose when it arrives. You can send five letters a day. Each writer keeps a single place on someone’s Typewriter, so a new letter from you replaces only your own last one.
Write back. A Reply button sits under every letter as it is typed, so an answer is one tap away.
For their eyes only. A letter is shown only to the person it is written to, signed in, within an hour of tapping the chip on a Typewriter of their own. Until then, the sheet only says how many letters are waiting. No email announces a letter: you find it the next time you scan. If you would rather not hear from someone, block them — their letters are wiped, and they are never told.
Writing to someone who doesn’t have one yet? They get an email inviting them to get a Typewriter of their own. Your letter isn’t in it; it is typed only on a Typewriter.
Like all Smart AR, it costs nothing extra. The Typewriter’s page in the shop shows a letter being typed onto its sheet.
How to Send a Typewriter Message shows every step: writing one, sending it now or later, and seeing it typed on their sheet.
