Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

This page explains what information the MINIESE shop at shop.miniese.com collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have kept it as short and plain as we can.

In short

  • We never see your card number. Payment is handled by Wix, our store platform.
  • We use Google Analytics to count visits, and Meta (Facebook, Instagram) to measure our ads.
  • We do not sell your information for money. You can turn off ad tracking at any time.
  • Questions or requests: write to wonderlensla at gmail.com.

Who we are

MINIESE is the AR art brand of Wonderlens Studio, a photography studio in Los Angeles, California. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean MINIESE.

Our store, checkout and member accounts run on Wix, at wonderlensla.com. This policy covers shop.miniese.com. When you pay or sign in on Wix’s pages, Wix’s own privacy policy applies there as well.

What we collect, and why

What you give us

  • Newsletter. Your email address, the place on the site where you signed up, and your country. We use it to send your welcome code and our newsletter. It is kept on our own list and in our Wix contacts.
  • Orders. When you check out, you give your name, email, shipping address and payment details to Wix, on Wix’s checkout page. Your card details go to Wix and its payment providers; we never see or store your card number. We see your order (what you bought, your name, email and shipping address) so we can make and ship it. If you have bought from us, we may also use what you bought to choose what our newsletter shows you.
  • Your account. If you sign in, you do so on Wix’s sign-in page. We then show you your name, phone, saved addresses and orders, which Wix keeps for us. While you are signed in, we remember the works you open, the works you add to your cart and the News you read, only to choose what to show you first. This is kept for 180 days, is not shared, and you can clear it at any time on your Account page. If you have an account or have bought from us, we may send you our newsletter; every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe.
  • Custom size requests. Your name, email, phone (if you give it), shipping address and the print you would like. The request is emailed to our studio so we can reply with a quote. It is not stored on the website.
  • “Let the arts find you.” If you describe in your own words what you are looking for, your words are sent to Google’s Gemini AI service, which helps choose works for you. We also keep the words, with any email addresses and phone numbers removed, together with your answers to the questions and the works you open, to learn what people are looking for. These are not tied to your name, only to a random number for that visit. The start of what you write (up to 100 characters) is also counted as a search by Google Analytics and, unless you turn ad tracking off, by Meta. Please do not type private details there.
  • Wish list. If you tell us about a work you hoped to find, we keep what you wrote and, if you choose to give it, your email address, so we can let you know if we make it.

What is collected automatically

  • Our own visit count. We count page views, which works are opened and added to carts, the website that sent you, your country and your type of device (phone, tablet or computer). To count each visitor once a day, we make a scrambled code from your connection and browser that changes every day and cannot be turned back into your address. Our own count sets no cookies.
  • Your IP address is used to protect the site from abuse, for example to limit how many times a form can be sent from one connection.
  • Google Analytics and Meta collect information about your visit, as explained in the next section.
  • Your cart and a few display settings are kept in your own browser, on your device, so your cart is still there when you come back.
  • Your camera. Some pages can use your phone’s camera to show a work on your own wall. The camera picture stays on your phone. It is not sent to us and is not recorded.

Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files your browser keeps for a website. Here is what this shop uses:

  • Google Analytics (by Google) counts visits and shows us how the shop is used: the pages seen, the type of device, approximate location and purchases. It uses cookies. We use the same Google Analytics account for our AR site, ar.miniese.com, so visits to both are counted together.
  • The Meta pixel and Meta Conversions API (by Meta, which runs Facebook and Instagram) help us measure our ads and show them to people who may like our work. The pixel runs in your browser; our server sends Meta a copy of the same events, in case your browser blocks the pixel. What Meta receives: the page you are on, the works you look at, watch or add to your cart, what you search for, checkouts and purchases with their amounts, your IP address, your browser type, and Meta’s own cookie IDs. When you sign up for the newsletter or make a purchase, we also send your email address, scrambled (“hashed”) first, so Meta can match it to an account but cannot read it from what we send. Meta may connect this with what it already knows if you use Facebook or Instagram. If you arrive from a Meta ad, we keep the ad’s click code in a cookie for 90 days. We may also give Meta a list of our customers’ and subscribers’ email addresses, hashed the same way, so we can show our ads to people who already know us, or leave them out. To be left off that list, email us.
  • Sign-in. If you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
  • Your privacy choice. If you turn off ad tracking, a cookie remembers that for a year.

Your choices

  • “Your privacy choices”, at the bottom of every page, or this button: Turning it off stops the Meta pixel and our server’s copies to Meta, and removes Meta’s cookies from this site, in this browser. Google Analytics still counts your visits, but with Google’s advertising features turned off.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as the same choice, automatically.
  • Your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings, or use a private window.
  • Meta and Google. You can change how ads are shown to you in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences and in Google’s My Ad Center. Google also offers a browser add-on that turns off Google Analytics on every site.

Your choice applies to the browser and device you make it on.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run the shop, for the purposes above:

  • Wix: our store, checkout, payments, member accounts and contacts.
  • Google: Google Analytics, and the Gemini AI service behind “Let the arts find you.”
  • Meta: measuring and showing our ads, unless you turn ad tracking off.
  • Resend: sends our emails, such as your welcome code and our newsletter.
  • Cloudflare: hosts the website, its database and its films.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our customers, our studio or others from fraud or harm. If our business were ever sold or merged, the information would pass to the new owner under this policy.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell personal information for money. However, under California law, letting Meta collect information on our site for advertising can count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out of this at any time with “Your privacy choices” or Global Privacy Control, as described above.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete your information;
  • stop using your information for advertising (see “Your choices” above).

You can leave our newsletter with the link at the bottom of any newsletter email, and clear what the shop remembers for your recommendations on your Account page.

To make a request, email wonderlensla at gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request”, from the email address you used with us if you can. We may ask you to confirm it is you before we act. We will reply within 45 days. We may need to keep some records, such as orders for tax and accounting, and will tell you if so.

California residents

California law (the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) gives you the rights listed above: to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We will not treat you differently for using them. Someone you authorize in writing can make a request for you. We do not use sensitive personal information to make guesses about you.

In the past 12 months we have collected these kinds of personal information:

  • Contact details and identifiers: name, email, phone, shipping address, IP address, cookie IDs. From you and your browser. Shared with Wix, Resend and Cloudflare to run the shop; with Meta (IP address, cookie IDs and hashed email) for advertising.
  • Purchases: what you bought or added to your cart. Shared with Wix, Google and Meta.
  • Activity on the site: pages seen, works opened and searches. Shared with Google and Meta.
  • Approximate location: your country, from your connection. Shared with Google.
  • Preferences: for signed-in members, the works you might like. Not shared.

Children

This shop is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. We do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us information, please write to us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your address only on a “do not email” list, so you are not added back by mistake.
  • What the shop remembers for a member’s recommendations: 180 days.
  • Orders: as long as we need them for customer service, tax and accounting.
  • Emails you send us, including custom size requests: as long as we need them to answer you and for our records.
  • Wish list entries and “Let the arts find you” words: as long as they help us plan new works.
  • Our visit counts are kept only as totals.

Google and Meta keep what they collect according to their own policies.

Keeping it safe

The site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, your card number never reaches us, and our records are behind a sign-in. No website can promise perfect security, but we take care with what you trust us with.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If the change is important, we will make it clear on the site.
