February 2026 Two VS. Three Ten years ago, I discovered Edward Hopper’s art by chance. His work has a way of turning the ordinary into "amber"—preserving the stillness of American life in a way that is both lonely and beautiful. This project is a modern reconstruction of his classics. By keeping the backgrounds identical, I wanted to highlight the shift in our internal lives. In the "World of Two," there is freedom and quiet, but also solitude. In the "World of Three," new happiness arrives alongside new burdens. Rather... -
February 2026 The Atelier of Folded Time This vaulted atelier is suspended in the delicate threshold between the clarity of daylight and the reverie of the night. The creative spark for this piece originated from The Art of Painting , the masterpiece by the Dutch Golden Age master, Johannes Vermeer . While Vermeer used light and shadow to immortalize a painter’s focus, I sought to use my lens to document a child’s nascent passion for art and their singular way of perceiving the world. Within this space, time unfolds in two distinct... -
February 2026 Jillian's Tea Party Time folds within the stillness of this room. A tea party where no strangers are invited; five girls from across the eras take their seats within the coordinates of imagination. From the elegant pleats of the Victorian era to the bohemian spirit of unbridled freedom, these shifting temporal backdrops reflect the myriad facets of a single soul. Here, Jilian is both the host and the guest. Through a surrealist lens, the work captures childhood’s most precious superpower: imagination. It is more... -
February 2026 The Cloud Laundry The soul of this piece begins with that humble wooden ladder standing at the center of the frame. Before my younger son was born, a dear friend who knew my passion for miniatures gave me a DIY model kit as a baby shower gift. It wasn’t a gift for the baby, but one chosen specifically for me. She hoped that amidst the whirlwind of motherhood, I would still have a "creative sanctuary" of my own—a way to ward off the shadows of postpartum depression. However, life soon cast a heavy shadow.... -
November 2025 The Last Resort This is my love letter to books and reading. In this fine art photography series, the figure wanders through surreal, dreamlike worlds, lost in the quiet magic of pages. Books are my sanctuary, my wings to anywhere my imagination can take me, and an endless wellspring of inspiration. This series was born from my love for Tomihiko Morimi’s novel Tropical . That book, with its whimsical tale of a devoted reader, sparked this creation. Books ignite my imagination when it falters, soothe my... -
November 2025 Adrian’s Adventure Little Adrian’s favorite book has always been Where the Wild Things Are —a world bursting with wildness and imagination. His mom loves to call him “my little monster,” half teasing, half overflowing with affection. When Adrian turned one, his mom would like our studio to create a set of childhood portraits inspired by this beloved book—something that truly captured who he was at that age. And so this tender, whimsical journey began. We hand-crafted a series of miniature sets based on the... -
November 2025 The Art of the Ideal Deal This photography campaign reimagines the world of real estate through the lens of timeless art. By placing two real estate agents inside iconic masterpieces — from Jan van Eyck’s Arnolfini Portrait to Grant Wood’s American Gothic, from Edward Hopper's Cape Cod Morning to David Hockney's Big Splash — they become the protagonists of these cultural touchstones, crossing centuries and styles. The concept highlights a simple truth: just as great art never loses its value, these agents always... -
November 2025 Santa Claus Off Duty Wonderlens Studio proudly presents this year’s first custom-made Christmas portrait for our clients: “Santa Claus Off Duty” “ Santa Claus Off Duty ” is a portrait of love that has survived both time and fire. In the photograph, Vance and Judy stand in a quiet, tender embrace before their burgundy Chevrolet Camaro SS, bathed in soft golden moonlight along the California coast, watched over by their curious little white dog. For more than fifty years, Vance and Judy built a life full of ritual... -
November 2025 Luke's Wonderland Right after Luke was born, the pandemic happened. Ever since he started to walk, he's been an "indoor child". As parents, we were eager to show the colorful world to him, however, we had to put all those plans aside and keep him home for safety. One day, it came to mind that although we can't explore the outside world, we can at least bring some color and imagination to his indoor life. So my husband and I created this series. All the photos are set indoors with colorful or imaginary...
